The heel is sewed onto the canvas instead of gluing it. 　In this painting, the profession of the person in the black croco heel is a “Spy”. Croco patterned leather is usually posh, however, enamel black is sometimes very mysterious as well. Spy can behave and perform many characters, that is the reason the background is camouflage. The 3 colours of camouflage implies that the spy wearing the heel is sexy and attractive.

The heel is sewed onto the canvas instead of gluing it. 　In this painting, the profession of the person in the red heel is a “Flashy” person. In most cases, flashy person or showoffers would love to wear enamel red heels. Flashy people may behave more fierce rather than modest, that is the reason the background is a mixture of leopard and tiger which are known as wild beasts. The multi- colours implies that the how flash the person is and that the person would not be satisfied with a single colour or pattern.

The colourful butterflies imply that the bear is not lonely and that she is surrounded by plenty of friends. Though it is a little hard to get into the sight, there is a heart (Italian: Cuore) on the belly of the bear. 　忘れられていた木彫りの熊を「華やか」に仕上げ、命を注入したいと思い、シルバーやゴールドのアクリル絵の具とラメで仕上げてあります。木彫りの熊を色鮮やかな蝶で囲むことにより、熊は独りぼっちではなく、仲間が沢山いることを指しています。置かれている際には目に入りにくいものの、熊の腹の部分にはハート（イタリア語：Cuore）を描かれています。 Origin of Title: It is a mixture of “Bear” as in animal, and a nickname “Bea” which the original name is “Beatrice” in Italian (not English). This is the main reason why I named her “Beatrice” and drew the name on the salmon. “Beatrice con Cuore” means “Beatrice with Heart” in Italian. タイトルの由来：　英語の「Bear（熊）」とイタリア語の省略名「Bea（ベア）」を掛け合わせてあります。「Bea」の本来の名前は「Beatrice（ベアトリーチェ）」の為、この木彫りの熊には「Beatrice」という名前を与えました。木彫りの熊も生きているという意味を込めて、「心（ハート）のあるベアトリーチェ」をイタリア語にした「Beatrice con Cuore」になりました。

However, nowadays, younger generation live in urban area, condominiums, or build modern style houses, which Japanese chests become less popular and get stored in warehouses of our grandparent’s generation. Instead of keeping the chests in warehouses or dispose them, we have decided to commit an upcycle project of these chests by adding some art.

Not only in Japan, but in many countries the colour image of steak or meat are often, black and red. After visiting the restaurant, I felt that flashy painting would match which I have decided to paint with glitters. Medium is used to make the bulls outstanding.

Red represents the colour of passion, and silver was a choice as it goes well with red. Where can a passionate emotion come from? And I thought “Loving beloved ones” is too common as an expression for passion. Then it came up to my mind, “Missing beloved one” will lead to a desire to “Want them”, which could be desperate sometimes, and what would want to do in the first place when you get to meet the beloved one after missing them so badly? Probably most people, or at least I would, “Kiss beloved one”. So-called “awaited kiss”. The right bottom “Bacio” means a kiss in Italian. It says, “Mi Manchi... Ti Voglio Tanto Bene.” There are 2 explanation on the message. One, it means “I miss you... I love you so much.” The phrase “Ti Voglio Tanto Bene.” is a very local Italian expression that is used between lovers, family and friends. A direct translation will be “I want/care you very well”. Two, the colours of the letters, there are red and silver. Now, this is the another reason I had to use the Italian phrase. Taking out the red letters, and putting them in different order, it will turn out to be the name of the requester.
